TOM CHILTON HEADS TO SLOVAKIA FOR ROUND 2 OF THE WORLD TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP IN HIGH SPIRITS

Following a positive start to his Sebastian Loeb Racing career at Paul Ricard, Tom heads to Slovakia hoping to put into place the learnings from Round 1.

"It was all about learning the car and the team at the first round. I came away with some decent points and a podium in the WTCC Trophy which was pleasing but now I really want to push on and put a marker down for the rest of the season".

The Automotodróm Slovakia Ring is the venue, situated 40km from Bratislava.  The track was built fairly recently between 2008 and 2009 and has played host to a number of Championships. Strange scenes were played out in 2014 when Race 2 was cancelled due to torrential rain.  Last year however was enjoyed under lovely, warm sunshine with Yvan Muller and Sebastian Loeb taking a win a piece.

Sebastian Loeb Racing will once again field three Citroën C-Elysée cars as Tom joins Mehdi Bennani and Grégoire Demoustier on the grid to battle it out for top honours.

"As teammates we've got a healthy rivalry going and I respect both the other guys, but of course, I want to beat them".

Race 1 (11 laps) kicks off at 12:10 local time on Sunday with Race 2 (12 laps) at 14:15.
