WTCC SUMMER BREAK OVER AS CHILTON HEADS TO ARGENTINA WITH MOMENTUM ON HIS SIDE

The summer break is finally over as Sebastian Loeb Racing and Tom Chilton head to Argentina's Circuitio Internacional de Vila Real. He carries good momentum after a series of podiums and remains in the hunt for the WTCC Trophy where he sits in second place behind Mehdi Bennani.

This is the third consecutive year the WTCC has visited the South American circuit where local favourite Jose Maria Lopez is once again expected to perform well in front of his home crowd. However, Tom comes to the circuit full of confidence, commenting:

"It was good to have a break but I can't wait to get back to racing now. I've been training hard and feel ready to get back in the seat and continue where I left off in Portugal where I collected two podiums including a really pleasing second overall in the opening race.  It's still wide open in the WTCC Trophy and a couple of good results here will really make things interesting.  Argentina is an amazing country with some brilliant fans so the atmosphere is going to be great; the perfect place to kick the season off again after some down time".

Free Practice 1 is 08:45 on Saturday 6th August, Free Practice 2 at 11:00 and Qualifying at 15:00. On Sunday the Opening Race gets underway at 14:05 (13 laps) and the Main Race at 15:20 (14 laps). All times local.
